Below find for your information notice of a series of workshop
meetings being held by the Los Angeles City Planning Department this
week, next week and on August 7 to review and to discuss the City's
revision of the West Los Angeles Community Plan. The Community Plan
essentially determines where development can take place in our area of
Los Angeles and what sort of development will be allowed. We urge you
to consider attending one of the Planning Department meetings so that
you can have a sense of the planning process and so that you can provide
your comments and concerns to the planners and be a part of the
development of the Plan. The dates of the meetings are Tuesday, July 22,
Saturday, July 26, Monday, July 28 and Thursday, August 7. All the
weekday meetings are from 6PM t o 8 PM at the Henry Medina Parking
Enforcement Facility at the corner of Sepulveda and Exposition
Boulevard. The Saturday meeting is at the Cheviot Hills Recreation
Center on Motor Avenue from 11 AM to 1 PM. Feel free to contact the

Dear West LA Stakeholder,

You are being contacted either because you have previously participated in a small group discussion or because you live, work, or own property in the West Los Angeles Community Plan area. The Department of City Planning is taking the next step in the development of draft policies for the West Los Angeles Community Plan and we need your participation. Four community workshops will be held this summer on July 22, 26, 28 and August 7. Please see the attached flyer for times and locations.

At the workshops we will share a summary of the key input that was gathered from a broad range of stakeholders who attended small group meetings from November 2007 through March 2008. The workshops will provide an opportunity to comment on the issues and opportunities we've heard from stakeholders in the small group meetings. Your comments at the workshops will be used to fashion goals, policies and objectives for the new Community Plan.
